REOPENING
STANDARD SAFETY PROCEDURES
On behalf of the Southeast NATO member theaters doing business in Miami-dade, we are presenting the following plan for reopening.
SOCIAL DISTANCING
- All team members and guests must practice and maintain appropriate physical distancing as recommended by the CDC and local health authorities. Groups must be kept to 10 persons or less.
- Theatres will install physical distance markers on the floor in queues and prohibit congregating in common areas of the theatre, including lobbies, hallways and restrooms.
- Signage will also be posted in high traffic areas to remind guests to exercise social responsibility to help "Stop the Spread of Germs"
- Post signage indicating that social distancing guidelines must be maintained and that theatres reserve the right to deny entry to guests showing symptoms of COVID-19.
- Theatres will provide contactless payment or prepayment options whenever possible and will encourage online ticket purchases where feasible.
CAPACITY
- Showtimes will be staggered to ensure capacity is controlled in all common areas
- Seating patterns will be arranged to allow for six feet of spacing between guests
- Implement reserved seating in auditoriums where possible ti facilitate propper distancing
- 50% capacity
CLEANING PRACTICES/SANITATION
- Prior to reopening will flush plumbing and run water in sinks to eliminate stagnant water from the period of facility closure
- Hand sanitizer stations will be located throughout theatres including the entrance and exits.
- Restrooms will be cleaned and disinfected every two or three hours
- Showtimes will be staggered to allow ample time for enhanced cleaning and sanitizing of auditoriums between shows
- High touch point areas including Kiosks and POS machines will be sanitized with an appropriate sanitizing agent on a regular schedule
- Maintain nightly deep cleaning of all auditoriums, bathrooms and high traffic areas
- Spraying will allow for coverage of all chairs, tray tables, cupholders and railings in auditoriums and for coverage of high-contact surfaces mentioned above
- Hand sanitizer stations will be located throughout theatres including the entrance and exits. Trash receptacles will be placed at entrances as well as common areas to provide safe disposal of masks and other PPE
- Emptied trash receptacles will be double-bagged and securely sealed Water fountains and interactive displays will be closed. All HVAC equipment will be maintained as required.
PPE
- Masks and gloves will be required for all employees where mandated
- Required PPE will be provided to team members
- Guests, vendors, suppliers and contract workers entering theatres must wear masks
EMPLOYEE PRACTICES
- All staff and management will be trained in new operating protocols and modifications to existing codes of conduct related safety and health issues relating to COVID-19 issues as indicated by CDC and as local authorities require.
- Implement symptom monitoring protocols (including workplace temperature monitoring and symptom screening questions)
- Any employee with a fever, displaying any sumptoms of COVID-19, or with affirmative answers on the screening questionnaire will not be permitted to work and will be asked to return home.
- Employees will be required to perform frequent handwashing
- During breaks staff will maintain social distancing guidelines. Staff breaks will be staggered If an on-site employee or contractor tests positive, the establishment will close to be deepsanitized and staff that came in contact with the positive employee be tested and cleared for COVID-19.
- Theaters will establish a protocol for notifying state DOH and the procedure for deep-cleaning the theater
FOOD SERVICE/CONCESSIONS SALES
Employees working in food service will be required to adhere strictly to hygienic practices including:
- Not working when sick;
- Frequent hand washing
- Changing any gloves in use between tasks and, if in use, changing gloves after each hand washing
- Team members have been trained in proper food-handling protocols to reduce person to person contact
- Social distancing stickers will be placed on the ground to ensure that guests maintain a healthy distance of at least 6-feet apart while waiting in line.
- Drink self-serve, ICEE machines and frozen yogurt will be managed by theater staff (when mandated) No refills will be offered to reduce cross-contamination
- Large popcorn-no refills will be offered to reduce cross-contamination
- Condiments will only be served upon request and will not be self-serve
- Straws and utensils will be single-use and wrapped.
